Fascial Manipulation® (FM) is a modern method of working with the myofascial system. It focuses on restoring the glide between tissue layers and reducing fascial tension that can cause pain, restricted movement, or compensation patterns throughout the body.
FM doesn’t just address symptoms – it gets to the root of the problem. The therapist locates so-called densification points, areas where the fascia has lost its elasticity. Targeted manual therapy in these regions often brings fast and lasting relief, even in cases of chronic pain.
Most of us live in a seated posture – at desks, in cars, on the couch. Our bodies adapt to this position: hip flexors shorten, shoulders roll forward, and the spine suffers from overload.
This often leads to:
🔹 lower back pain
🔹 shoulder and neck tension
🔹 numbness in the hands
🔹 stiff hips
🔹 pain in the knees or jaw joints
Fascial therapy helps release these restrictions and restore your natural range of motion and comfort in daily life.
Kinesiotaping complements fascial therapy by using special elastic tapes to:
🔸 reduce pressure on tense areas
🔸 support the function of specific muscles
🔸 improve lymphatic flow and reduce swelling
🔸 help the body maintain correct posture after therapy
We often apply taping to the shoulders, lower back, or knees – wherever the body needs a little extra help holding onto the results of treatment.
One of our clients, Marta, came to us with chronic neck and upper back pain from working long hours at a desk. After a detailed assessment, we applied FM to several points in the chest and neck area. She felt clear relief even after the first session. We followed up with kinesiotaping on her shoulder blade and cervical spine. Two weeks later, she reported not only reduced pain, but better sleep and improved focus during the day.
Chest wall mobilization – Stand sideways next to a wall, place your forearm against it at a right angle, and gently turn your chest away from the wall to stretch the front of the shoulder and chest.
Cat-cow with deep breathing – In a tabletop position, arch and round your spine, coordinating the movement with your breath to mobilize your whole back.
Posterior chain stretch (calves + hamstrings) – Stand on a step with your heels hanging off, gently lower them and lean slightly forward to stretch the back of the legs.
Fascial Manipulation® and kinesiotaping are powerful, non-invasive methods that support the body not only in sports but in everyday life – from desk work to parenting, or recovery after stress.
At Touch Balance, we offer focused, personalized therapy in a calm and supportive environment.
